Ken Jones started designing the oil pump filter adapter in 1989 as a CNC Operator, Fabricator and Mad Hatter. For 10 years he worked on a few prototypes until finally coming up with the final design. He machined (CNC) the adapter in 1996 and installed the adapter on his custom 1978 Shovelhead. Ken developed this product to make oil changes easier and to prevent foreign particles from entering the engine, improving longevity of the motor. The adapter also has an added benefit of routing oil through the filter back into the motor. This eliminates the remote oil filter, oil lines and bracket. The filter simply spins right onto the pump.

Take a tour of the shop!

Step inside our little shop and meet Ginger and Roy, the heart behind everything we make. In this tour, we’ll show you how each JBrosG screw-on oil adapter is made the old-fashioned way—with hard work, attention to detail, and a whole lot of pride. From raw materials to the finished piece, every step happens right here in our shop, with the help of our trusted local partners at Pro Precision Machinery, where precision machining meets small-town craftsmanship. Nothing gets rushed, and everything is checked by hand. This isn’t a big factory—it’s just us, our community, and a shared commitment to building something we truly believe in for fellow riders.
